    3. Bonjour everybody, I am trying to complete my knowlege of the couple of my 5xgparents William WEBBER- Jane SYMES. They got married on November 10th 1767 in Beaminster (Dorset) but . William WEBBER was born ca 1744 in Drimpton (Dorset) and I don't know his parents. He died in Broadwindsor on June 22nd 1812. Jane Symes was born in Child Hay (Date unknown - ca 1748) I don't know her parents either. She died on Feb 22nd1821 in Child Hay (aged 82). Lots of "mercies" to the kind soul who could find their dates of baptism and parents. Jean-Marie DESSAUX Templeuve -Nord FRANCE

    3. Dear Robert, Details of the Robert CONEY marriage 1754: Robert CONEY husbandman of Wimborne married Mary BROOKS by licence at Blandford Forum on 1 December 1754. The witnesses were John LACY & Robert BROOKS Info source - Dorset Family History Society via Find my Past. Sorry, but I can't help further with your CONEYs of Chalbury, however it is possible that 2 of them are the Robert CONEY & Mary LYDDEN who married at Cranborne in 1769, unless you know different. 3. Hi again - well, I did see a marriage in 1871 for a Jane PEACH probably to a Charles PITMAN, registered in Chard. In 1871 census this may be that Jane (now PITMAN): Crewkerne Jane PITMAN 28 Married. Cook. Born Stoke Abbott, Dorset In the household of John J TIDCOMBE, a captain in the Somerset Rifles. Also in the 1871 census there is a Charles PITMAN aged 28, married but living with his parents in Crewkerne - very possibly the husband of the Jane above. He is a tailor. Perhaps a long shot but the marriage certificate might just be worth getting even just to eliminate this Jane PEACH. And there is a death reg for a 36yr old Charles PITMAN in Chard in 1878 so if this is the same Charles, she may well have remarried. Hope that helps a little. 3. Hello Roslyn - I'm not sure the Jane you have found is 'yours'? In the 1861 census the entry for Sarah? WOOLCOTT has been overwritten and it looks as though it could actually be 'Jane'. In addition, this Jane is also born in Stoke Abbott, which makes me wonder. There is a marriage in 1859 for a George WILLCOTT probably to a Jane GERRARD, registered in Chard. There is a Jane GERRARD in 1851 who matches the 1861 census entry. Have you other evidence that Jane WOOLCOTT/WILLCOTT is your Jane PEACH? I have found her in the 1871 Somerset Census as married to a George WILLCOTT/WOOLCOTT with some children. I have found her in subsequent Census records. My question is where do I find her marriage to this George WOOLCTT/WILLCOTT please? I have looked in Dorset and Somerset. Obviously my research has not been done enough as I have no idea where to look for the marriage. I found George in the 1861 Somerset Census married to Sarah ? and they have a son John who is 11 months. I am not sure where to look next or what to do.
