    3. I see there is a Buley, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth, baptised 08 Jan 1754. The Richard born in 1757 could quite well be named after his father. However I can't find a burial for Bula born in 1752. Just thought Bula and Buley were rather similar and families tended to name later children after one who had died. Best wishes. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Spicer" <richard.spicer@ntlworld.com> To: <DORSET@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 05, 2011 5:15 PM Subject: [DOR] Molly (Mary), Bula, and Richard Cull. >I am trying to find the parents of : > > Molly ( Mary ) Cull, baptised on the 2nd July 1750 at Corfe Castle, > Dorset. > Bula Cull, baptised on the 4th March 1753 at Corfe Castle, Dorset. 3. Hello Lyn, The Record Office will often help if you e-mail them & ask if a person left probate, but you would have to know the death date & keep it brief. They will also tell you if the area you are looking at is covered by Dorset. If you wish to look at a number of people from one family the Record Office sometimes already have a list of probate, you just have to see if they have the index covering a certain period say 1700 to 1800. I have just received a list of every one with the name Syme & various spellings from all of the courts. Documents online can be viewed on line. Good luck. 3. Lyn, Further to the other responses, the Dorset History Centre holds a large card index on Wills (covering may trays). The index is by name with multiple entries on each card, each entry contains name, probate date, parish and type. It is therefore fairly simple for them to lookup a name and given an approx date and/or parish and list possibles (as long as the name is not too common). Because of the way the card index is organised it would be a huge/impossible task to list wills for a particular parish (unless they have some cross reference that I am not aware of), however as Jon mentioned it is worth checking the parish on the OPC as some have done the sterling job of listing them. Bob Hills ________________________________ Good evening all Can someone tell me if and where I can find a list of Will and Admins for Dorset (hopefully on Line) also the cost of purchasing copies Thank you Lyn Schryver Western Australia ***************************************

    3. Thanks for in depth information, if the age given on Elizabeths death certificate is correct then the family you have identified seems a likely contender. Unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about Elizabeth Gale beyond details given on marriage certificate in July 1902, her place of residence being 20 Coleridge St, Hove (same as bridegrooms) The certificate states her father as deceased and her age 30!!! Whereas her death certificate fr July 1921 states age as 57. Thanks for help. Felicia
