Nancy, I too grew up in Crabapple and am related to you. IsaDora was the sister of my great-grandfather Charles Brechenridge Dorris. Charlie B was the oldest son of Jasper and Francis. My grandmother was Charlie's daughter Maggie Onnie Dorris Dempsey. She passed away this past Saturday at age 97. You will appreciate this... During the funeral service (Reverend Carl Jameson) said that back in the day when he was courting his wife Ruth you had to be a Rucker, Dorris, or Broadwell to get into Crabapple, or be married to one. hehehe. Reverend Carl Jameson is related to me through my mother's family and I went to Crabapple Baptist Church as a kid, when he was the pastor of that church.
