I think we are related. My great grandmother was Ida May Dorris who was the daughter of Elijah Dorris and Mary Jane Cook. Do you know what Elijah died of? Your ancestor was older when he died. My great grandmother's life was pretty tough after her father died and her mother remarried. I believe her mother married a man by the name of Puckett. I know that her little brother Chalen died when he was little which was very sad for her. Ida married Joseph Snyder. Would love to hear from you about Ida's brother.
