John W. Dorris? I have been trying for years to find out who his parents were. I am a direct descendant. He was born in 1804 in NY City and he was married to Elizabeth Osmun who was born in 1806 in Flemington, NJ. They had two daughters, Margaret Jane Dorris and Elmira Dorris.
