Author: cingram61 Surnames: Dorris, Burdick Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dorris/409/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Joplin Globe newspaper Nov 24, 1940 James A Dorris Rites will be held Monday Funeral Services for James Austin Dorris, 92 years old, formerly of Joplin, who died Friday at La Habra, Calif, will be conducted at the McWane Funeral chapel in that city at 10 o'clock Monday morning. Burial will be at La Habra. Mr Dorris, who had lived in Joplin more than 50 years, had made his home in California since 1931. His death occurred at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Marion O Burdick. Besides the daughter, Mr Davis is survived by two sons, Walter J Dorris, 301 St. Charles avenue, and William L Dorris of Los Angeles, and another daughter, Mrs. Ira Sigars of Hollywood, Calif.
