I am really interested in these postings. My Dad was William (1923-1987), His dad was William (From Somerville, NJ) His dad was (Timothy ?) from Cork. I know they lived in New Jersey from the time dad was a boy, but I think his father and/or grandfather came over direct from Cork. Anyone with info, please reply. Thanks, Debbi Donovan-Bryant

G Gmother was Ellen Donovan from Cork born 1830 & moved to Ont. Canada ,where she is buried. Let me know if you have any info. Can not find her parrish in Cork to purse any futher. We've just found out our great grandfather William J.Donovan was born in the USA(no state)in Oct.1850 according to the 1900 census. My father and his brothers think his father's name was Timothy. However, all my relations stayed in Manhattan and Brooklyn so far.
