Hi, my Donovan's did settle in Illinois and Wisconsin, but I have very little info on them. Only that my 2nd Great Grandmother was from a family of 10 Donovan's, 5 sons and 5 daughters. Don't know if that helps you at all, I haven't had much luck with my Donovans Joy

My Donavan's (often spelled Donovan) came to Kansas via, Ohio, and before that Washington Co., Maryland. My great grandfather Daniel Griffith Donavan was one of ten (5boys, 5 girls). His father Joseph was born Sept. 1815 in Washington Co. Maryland and was married to Harriet Griffith. Joseph's father was John Donavan who died abt 1831 in Maryland. Any of this look like anyone's family? Thanks. Peggy
