Hi, I also have Donovan's from Illinois. But I know very little about this family. There were 5 girls and 5 boys (and I do have a photo of the five sisters). I don't have my family tree info available at this time, but would be interesting in finding out about any possible Donovan's from the Illinois/Wisconsin area. Hi Joy, My Grandmother Catherine Donovan Linden lived in the Batavia and Aurora, Illinois from at least 1900 to 1940. My grandmother's mother was Julia and her father was Jerry Donovan. They came from County Cork in about 1881 or 1882 according to Catherine's obituary. I believe that Julia listed in the 1900 census as having 4 children and in the 1910 census it say 4 and 3 living. I also know that there was a brother of Julia's who lived in the same area and according to some papers I have their father was Michael Nagle but have no knowledge of Jerry or Jeremiah Donovan and who his family is and have just recieced word from the circuit court today that they cannot be found in the records for Naturaliztion so maybe Jerry was one of the brothers which you seek. This may or may not be helpful. My Mother told my sister that she looked like my fathers cousin in Wisconsin so who knows. I believe that Catherine had a sister Mary and one named Anna and the other I haven't identifyied and also a brother David. Let me know if I can help or you have information that may of interest to me as I am at a block on locating the Donovan side of this family.
