Have you obtained copies of their death certificates in the states where they lived when they died? Those certs will probably hold lots of clues--like where they were born, where their parents were born, and maybe even names of children and the spouses of those children. Lots of times, unfortunately, the vital records list only "Ireland" if the person was born there, so you cannot identify the parish or the town they came from. However, you can use the maiden name of the spouse to keep on the track. My great-grandmother's name was Mary Ann Kane. She married Jeremiah Donovan (he died in 1905). She never remarried. The family lived in Erie, PA. I'm wondering if there is any connection to your family. I'm trying to find out who her parents were. : : :==== DONOVAN Mailing List ==== :The Donovan Home Page is temporarily unavailable...once it is back, I'll let you know! :The Donovan Threaded Archives can be found at: :http://archiver.rootsweb.com/archives/DONOVAN-L :
