Daniel H. Donovan's son, Joseph Thomas, married a girl from Garryowen named Mary Lucy Mahony. Her father was Den(n)is Mahony, editor of the dubuque Herald, among other occupations. Both the Mahony and Donovan families were from Rosscarbery, Cork. Both were also close to Bishop Mathias Loras, first bishop of Dubuque. If any of this connects, please reply.
