Donovan, who immigrated from Ireland (location not knowned) to New Brunswick, Canada in the early 1830's. Known children were Timothy (my gr gr grandfather) b. in Ireland around 1828, Harriet, Margaret, Mary and Ann (all born in New Brunswick between 1834 to 1841).
So near and yet so far. I also have a lot of Donovan's in my line from NB but no Denis that I can see. I also have Hartnett's and Driscoll's but they are from the Peterborough, ON area so I don't think that is a link. It is strange to see us share these 3 names and no visible links. Sigh.
