Hello fellow Donovan researchers. After a quick conversation with an elderly Uncle I was directed to the New York Times where I found a great uncle of mine, Dennis Donovan, died after being overcome by smoke inhalation. It was a fire at the Grand 5 & 10 in New York City and the date of his death was August 17, 1920. He left no wife or children, but perhaps he is a great uncle of yours too or maybe your grandmothers brother-in-law, etc., etc. Hope this info is helpful to someone. Feel free to contact me with leads, connections, or questions. Thank you.
