    3. I just signed up and am trying to see if I did it correctly. I have cousins who were with the Donner's as they went over the pass. Jay Fosdick is my 7c2r. I think I might be related to a few others who were there. That was such a tragedy. 3. My research indicates that there was a MURPHY family in the Donner Party and that one or more of them survived the ordeal. Can anyone tell me more about them? 3. Hi everyone I want to welcome you all to the new Donner Party Mailing list. Since this list is new, there aren't really any archives as of yet. There are a few mails there, but no data. You can find the archives to any Rootsweb mail list by going to http://archiver.rootsweb.com >From there, you enter the name of the mail list. I have always had an extreme interest in the Donner Party history, my children are related to a few from that party (through my husband). I will begin to gather some of the information I have to send to the list. Also, I will be putting together a website to go along with our list. I would love to include everyones information...please consider sending it to me personally as well as the list. I'll be getting together the list of names, some biographies, obituaries, etc. of those in the party. I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone! 3. I am new to this list and joined to find out more about the MURPHY family that was part of the Donner Party. If anyone can send me any details whatsoever, please do. I understand at least one of them survived the ordeal, an elderly woman as I recall. I would like to know from whence they came, where they were headed and what happened to the old woman.
