Hello, I can tell you that my Winifred Donlan/Donlon was in the NYC area and married to Michael Donlan. They appear in the 1880 census with their children all born in the 1870's. One of their son's John T. Donlon had a daughter in 1898 also named Winifred. My Michael Donlan served with the 10th Missouri Cavalry from 1864-1865.I don't think there is a connection. Good luck and I will let you know if I have any of your Donlan's anywhere in my research. Gloria
Thank you, Gloria, but it's not the right one. My Grandfather was John A Donlan and lived I think in Boston, married, Sarah Mary Ann Ryder, and moved to Elizabeth, NJ where they raised a family of 8. There aren't too many Donlan's around so they may have a connection. I'm up to my ears in putting in all the families - some going back to 1500's and Im going to be away for a few days but if you don't have the info on the Donlan family and the Castle, I'll send it to you.
