Wonder if anyone could help with my search for g.g.grandmother Ann WEMYSS/WEAMES/WYMESS' parents. Ann was born in Dumbarton, Scotland but was sent to Australia as an 'Irish' orphan aboard the 'Derwent', which arrived in Melbourne on 4th March, 1850. Ann was described as a House Servant from Letterkenny, Donegal, Church of England and could read and she was about 18 years old. Think her parents died in Donegal but have no idea of their names. Could anyone help me break down the brick wall? Thanks a lot. Meg.
