    3. Dear Janice and All: I think the message below may have cleared up a bit of confusion for me but I am wondering what others think regarding the name of one of the villages listed below. In explanation, about two years ago a blessed soul copied to this listserve some marriages originally printed in the Feb. 7, 1845 Ballyshannon Herald. Included in this list was the marriage of my ancestor, John Crawford, to Jane McVitty by Reverend George Tredernick. The village listed was spelled as Carricknaliorar in Ballyshannon, County Donegal. My question: could this really be Carricknahorna, as Janice writes was the name of one of the villages in Ballyshannon? I am desperate for any information to expand upon this dead-end in my family research.
