The Public Records Office in Kew London has finished putting on line all the pre1858 PCC wills. They mostly relate to England but you can find some Irish wills - esp if your ancestor was in the Army or navy and if he had additional land or property outside of Ireland. A search on 'Donegal' brings up 66 wills - although a surprising no relate to a ship Donegal. www.documentsonline.pro.gov.uk Each will costs £3 to download. Rachel
Thank you Rachel for posting the url for the documents on line. I for one did not know of this. This is so valuable Muriel ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rachel" <rachel.dysart@ntlworld.com> To: <DONEGALEIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 07, 2003 9:26 PM Subject: [DONEGALEIRE] Wills 1384-1858 > The Public Records Office in Kew London has finished putting on line all the pre1858 PCC wills.
