Reposting: My g-grandfather Neil Martin shows up in the 1901 Census, with his wife Bridget (Boyle) and daughters. (I have traced some of the Boyles to Johnstown, Penn where Edward and his wife died in the Flood) Son John (Johnny) Martin, my grandfather is missing from the Census. I understand from family lore that he lived at the priests residence and worked there. In 1912 he married Ellen McCarron (parents James McCarron and Annie O'Hara) in Scotland. My mother was born in Cambuslang and the family settled in Argyle Street, Glasgow. My grandfather was a railway surfaceman who was killed on the job - a switch was "accidentally" changed and the train hit him (according to family, at the time he was working to start union) I obtained a copy of my grandmother's death certificate (1931) but there is no trace of my grandfather. I believe he was killed around 1938. Unfortunately, I do not know which line he worked with and can't trace where he was buried. (I am on the Railway list but so far! no luck) I would very much appreciate any help. Take care, Ellen
