Hi Sharon, I have Wiley's in Drumhaggart, Parish of Burt which is next to Muff. On my web site below are many references to Wiley in this area. Best do a search on Wiley as they are on many pages. My known ones are on the McNaugher and Beattie pages. I found it interesting you have a Moses. I have found on the IGI Moses Wiley marrying Mary Jane Dickson in 1847 and 1872 (same date both years). A Moses Wiley is on the 1857 Griffiths Valuation so I think the 1847 marriage is the correct one. Perhaps your Samuel and Moses were brothers. I have a Sarah Ann Dickson who was the daughter of Richard Wiley. She had my grandmother's brother William John Beattie living with her in the 1911 Census. The Beattie children were orphaned before the 1901 Census. I will put on about them in another e-mail to the list. Here is the URL. Hope it is of some use to you. If anyone knows of any of the names above, could you get in touch. These families have been a sticking point for a long time now. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~maggiesirishkin/ Cheers, MAGGIE on a beautiful spring evening in Aotearoa (New Zealand) The Leigh, Sharon wrote: > I'm looking for ancestors and siblings of Samuel Wiley (Wylie) b. ca. > 1803 and his wife, Sarah Porter b. ca. 1810-1815.
