Hello all Donegal researchers . My John McCorkell was born c1803 . He had inserted in his Melbourne Australia leadlight front door " Templemore " and told his children that is where I was born .He married Elizabeth Holmes of the townland Scotland in the Parish of Donaghmore Co. Donegal in the Donaghmore Presbyterian church on 14th February 1839 .They had 2 daughters Mary Jane ( died Ireland ) and Margaret born 1841 . They migrated to Austrlia in 1842 on the Robert Benn from Greenock in Scotland . Is there a kind person connected to Donegaleire who can further my knowledge for I have written to McCorkells in Donegal and Derry with a stamped addressed envelope with no replies except one which was returned " Refused " .I live in hope to end my frustrations .
