Hello Inishowen Travelers I am researching the DOHERTY family that starts for me in TULLYDISH, BUNCRANA with JAMES DOHERTY and chidden WILLIAM and BRIDGET. William has many descendants in the Buncrana area. Bridget married JOHN MCLAUGHLIN probably from LETTER, FAHAN around 1860. They had children JOHN, CHARLES (1867), PATRICK (1869),WILLIAM, JAMES, CATHERINE (1872), DANIEL (1876) MCLAUGHLIN. Their mother Bridget died in BALLYEDEROWEN in 1896 and her husband John died between 1901 and 1904 in the same area. JOHN married ANNIE MOONEY in Fahan and moved to Londonderry where descendants live today. DANIEL married GRACE VERONICA CURRAN and lived in TOOBAN, FAHAN where descendants live today. CHARLES went to GLASGOW and married MARY MCALEER where family may live today and spell the name MCLAUGHLAN. PATRICK was born in Carnashannagh moved to Glasgow and Wishaw, Scotland, (married ISABELLA COONEY) Nova Scotia, Windsor, Ontario and Michigan where descendants live today.
