For some reason Henry when I tried the link there was something wrong with it. The return message said something about a string missing.............or words akin to that. Anyway - it's an interesting list - you've posted the names and there's not much else left to look at on that page *but* if you go to the home page at: http://www.donegaltown.ie and then scroll down that page and keep watching the left hand side column - then, that's where you come to the Transportation list - plus more. An interesting site to say the least - I have a link on my Donegal page to the Donegal town page - but it's come on in leaps and bounds since I first looked at it - or, maybe I just never took a good look at all the site had to offer, so thanks for pointing this page on that site out. I've another reason to thank you - I had loaded a page to the history section of my site relating to Transportation in the 1650's - but I had forgotten to load the county pages I had it linked to!! It's olde English, but gives the reader some bit of understanding of the whole situation in law re vagabonds and idlers etc......few names mentioned other than the Captains of ships used to transport people and where they were sent to. So, in case anyone would like to know something about 'transportation' as well as this list of Donegal names then take a look at: http://www.from-ireland.net/history/allcounties/transportation.htm Jane ----- Original Message ----- From: "McFadden" <McFadden@ntlworld.com> To: <DONEGALEIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 18, 2004 4:02 PM Subject: [DONEGALEIRE] Transportation, Donegal to America 18C. > > I have just come across the following list at . . .
