RE: CANNON and MCFADDEN in Carrick Hi Marilee, I have a McFadden in my Donegal family, but he is from Dunfanaghy, in NW Donegal. I have 4 records of Cannon families in Carrick: 1) John and Mary in Meenavean townland, with 4 children (but no Barney) on the 1901 census 2) Michael Cannon and wife Nancy Lyons in RannaCille (RhinaKille) townland, with no children listed, in the 1878 Priest's Survey Book of Teelin 3) Patrick Cannon and wife Brigid Carre with no children listed, in Aghragh townland, 1878 Priest's Survey Book of Teelin. They were probably an older couple as there is a margin notation: "Peadar Paitsi's father" 4) Mary Cannon married to Patrick Heeney, with children Mary, age 24 and Peter, age 20, living in Aghragh townland. We also have John Cannon from Arragil townland in Kilcar, who married my husband's great-aunt, Mary Cassidy from Croaghlin (Carrick). He was born about 1889. His parents were James and Anna Cannon, from Kilcar. I have transcribed the baptismal registry of St. Columbas church in Carrick. There is no Barney, Bernard or Bryan Cannon as a son or a father, but there are several Cannons. I do not have permission from the parish priest to post the transcription, but if you have other first names, I'll be happy to do look-ups. I'm sure there must be more, but this is all I have as my family. Any help? Regards, Tamy
