Many years ago I found this Donegal list and then found Lindel's postings and she led me to her website. We learned we were both hunting Gallaghers in Gartan Parish. All I had to start with was a family Bible, and some notes from my deceased father in law who was born in Carrickatimpan. We still can't prove a kinship between her Gallaghers and mine but we have had fun trying to prove it. She has been a tremendous help on my husband's Gallagher line with information from the records she has gathered and I am still amazed at her knowledge of the area. She is a great teacher, researcher, and friend ....and folks here in Louisiana are praying for a full recovery so she can get back to doing what she loves.
