Prayers for Lindel from Pennsylvania for a full and speedy recovery! Denise Foley

Everyone's love and concern is overwhelming. I will cut and paste all the emails and put them into one and send it to Lindel's Mom. I saw this in my inbox after I emailed the list about Lindel's condition. The following is an update on Lindel's condition from her Mom. Beannachtai (Blessings) Margaret (Mairead) Sunday, June 6, 2004 Helloo! Well, I was not satisfied with the lack of anti-biotic action (!!) so I phoned the hospital last night to speak to the nurse in charge, and find out why. She explained that they have been checking Lindel's white cell count every day and it has not altered, which indicates there in no infection present (thank God!). So, the latest is it's not the leads causing the problem but pericarditis, caused by the insertion of the drain into the pericardium during the op, and the damage it created. This explains the extreme pain she is experiencing, and its location etc. She also has a small clot in her lung and is receiving anti-coagulants to dissolve it. I would have liked to have had this explained to me during out visit on Saturday, but obviously I spoke to the wrong person. Anyway, now I know the full story I feel a little more secure, and I think you will too, though she is by no means out of the woods yet. I will be back with another update soon.
