Hi All, I have had a few requests to organise flowers (which I will do) with offers to send me some money to pay etc etc. Now having just returned from NZ I can tell you that petrol (gas) costs about $1.30 per litre - yes per litre.(about 4 litres to a gallon, the hospital is about a 500 km return trip from the family home and on a road which is not a highway. You can work that out in cost terms. The family is not wealthy by any means. So if anyone wants to do something for them a card with something toward their travel costs would be far better than flowers which last only a little time, or chocolates which last in the box even less time, but in our bodies far longer as fat cells.
