I add my prayers to the rest of the group because even though you don't know me, all us "Irishers" have to stick together...even thousands of miles apart. Periocarditis (well I can say it but not spell it) is something I've had experience with, Lindel. Once you're better you will hardly realize you have it. My mother lived almost 15 years after her diagnosis (81) and died from a totally unrelated problem. So once you're better, you can look forward to a long happy time helping us all here. I will tell you that the medicine she took stopped her from smoking finally because it didn't agree with the cigarettes. I don't remember what it was. But that's just in case you are a smoker. But my mom did quite well inspite of it. Took her meds every day like a good patient and drove my brothers and sisters and I nuts for a long time. God rest her soul. And there is an NHL hockey player and a NBA basketball player who both played with this diagnosis. So..the outlook is good for you especially since you don't have to shoot jumpshots. Meanwhile rest up and try to enjoy the break from your daily labors.
