If you go to: >> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~bhilchey <<, you can scroll-down to the fine color-coded map of Co. Donegal and click on Moville Lower parish. This will show you the location and extent of Glennagiveny civil parish. The town of Moville (no such townland) is located at the point on the bottom of the map, and is nestled along the coastline between the Upper and Lower Moville parishes. << I know there's a Roman Catholic church in Ballybrack and was wondering if that's the one the folks of Glennagiveny would have been likely to use. >> I think that's likely - even though the church is down south, close to the coast. There is/was an RC church to the west (it was discussed on this list - or the other Donegal list - within the last few weeks) in Carrowblagh or Leckemy, but there were no convenient connecting roads/paths to Glennagiveny townland. There is a current church in the southern part of Carrowtrasna townland, but it does not appear on maps of the 1800's and is probably of recent construction.
