    3. Hi Bob, any suggestions to trace family in Donegal, Ann (Nancy) Clark born 1804-1805, married James Elliot(t) , then 3 children born Donegal 1825-1835. Then they appear on 1851 census in Glasgow, with 3 more children born Glasgow, last one was my great grandfather, Joseph Stopford Elliot(t) born 1848 , but Mother is a widow. Joseph and Mother Ann appear on 1861 Glasgow census as well. 3. No Clark or Elliott births show up for Donegal in your early 1800 time frame all later 1800s. and none for LKS with your names. There are many Clarke's and Elliott's listed for Donegal in the GV data at my site http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hiflyte/ The GV data will give you a starting point in Donegal, at least it gives the area were your family may have lived, from there it is church records and lots of patience's. Along with thiis List join the rootsweb surname lists and LKS list and good list is the Y-IRL on Yahoo http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Y-IRL/ Visit both of these sites they have great info regarding Ireland. Lindels site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~donegal/ Janes site at: http://www.from-ireland.net/index.htm and visit the local Family History Center (FHC) in your area, look in the phone book. Best I can do for now. Lots of luck Bob ========================== Jean & Bob Elliott wrote: <SNIP>Hi Bob, any suggestions to trace family in Donegal,....Clark born married James Elliot(t)
