Hello List Can anyone give me information on Portnason in the 1860's.Was it a fishing village or just an outer part of Ballyshannon ? My great grandfather Matthew William Montgomery left for Australia in 1863 on the ship The Spitfire.The ships records has his address as Portnason.Any information appreciated.
