    3. Hello Lindel, I'm not going to try and get my head around what I am about to relate, especially since it is early Sunday morning here in Donegal. Webster's Dictionary has the following explanations for 'Consanguine' and 'Consanguinty': Consanguine: ( F. Consanguin, fr. L. Consanguineus, fr. com + sanguineus, of blood - more at SANGUINE) CONSANGUINEOUS; specif: based on an extended group of blood relations esp. of unlinear descent and constituting the functional famlial unit in a society. Consanguinty: 1. the quality or state of being related by blood or descended from a common ancestor: BLOOD RELATIONSHIP - distinguished from 'affinity' and commonly expressed in degrees of consanguinity (according to one scheme a person has consanguinity of the second degree with his grandfather, grandson, uncle, cousin-german, and nephew or corresponding female relations) 2. genetic relationship; specif: the spatial, chronological, and compositional relationship existing between the various rocks in a single petrographic province 3 : a close relation or connection : AFFINITY (the consanguinity of all religions). There is also a 'family tree' type of diagram that I can not easily reproduce here but may be able to 'paint' and send to anyone who is really, really interested. Lindel, I know the nights are getting long in that upside-down part of the globe but the sun is shining here in Donegal so please, could you make the questions easier for a few months. Beannacht Dé, P.J.
