Have you tried a search of he husband's army records - it could give some clue as to where they married . www.nationalarchives.gov.uk although the on line summaries won't tell you a lot. I f the marriage was in England or Wales it could be on www.1837online.com It'a a pay per view site but not outrageously expensive unless you have no idea of the date of marriage. I see they have just added some more consular and service records.
