My family is from that area and when we were there last I took pictures of that area. Is this the area you wanted pictures of? Janice Janice, I have to apologize for being so late in answering your letter, about having pictures of the houses mentioned in the Town Electors List 1940/1. Just today I found a whole batch of letters that I've never read, due to holidays and little things like that. If the pictures are still available to you, and if you have the time, I do/did have some WRAYs in Co. Donegal. My branch came over in 1817, but several members of his family that I know of, stayed in Co. Donegal (namely his brothers Alexander WRAY, and Andrew WRAY. (I don't know if his parents were still living at the time.) If you're able to send the picture, thanks a lot, and if you can't for any reason, thanks lot anyway, just for offering to do it. Thanks!! Barbara in MO (but originally from NYC)
Hi This is a long shot, but worth a try. James Kearns Wray left London England for Australia on the Star Queen in 1873. He married Anne Gorry, my grandmothers Sister,in Maryborough Queensland in 1875. Anne also travelled on the Star Queen from London in 1875. James was born around 1841 according to his age on the passenger list. He's not related to me,I'd just like to find out his place of birth for my records.
