Listed as so in an 1885/9 directory............ Can't tell you exactly where it is............but probably just a small townland. It's in Convoy civil parish - which is probably the most important thing you need to know for now as reagrds trying to get any more records You should/may be able to find 1901 or 1911 Census records for this family through your local Family history library.......... You don't mention religion..........and if you could come up with that..........then maybe there are records. Off the top of my head, I can't say what Roman Catholic parish would take in Convoy Civil Parish - and if no one else on the list can come up with a suggestion...........and they were R.C. then I can find out for you. One of the Discovery series maps should show you where Magheranappin/Maghernappin is.........and you should find some details on it on the SeanRuad Ireland Atlas website/pages...a google search should find that site - search for IRL-Atlas...................it's hosted on teh Roscommon Leitrim web site and I'm not giving you a URL because I think it has changed.
