I'm not sure it would be within list rules to recommend or criticize a particular commercial service in this forum, but DNA is a growing aspect of genealogy that everyone should be aware of, and I strongly recommend it as a news tool we can add to those that have already been available for tracing our family history.. There are lists devoted to DNA testing which discuss the pros and cons of which markers are being tested by which services, how useful various markers are, and what support the services provide to users, especially organized family projects. As coordinator for two DNA surname projects, I would be happy to answer privately (off-list) any specific questions that members of this list might have, after familiarizing themselves with the subject through the material already available on the web.
