Hi! The name was spelt Travers in the 1857 Griffith's Valuation - they were predominantly in the parish of Drumhome and look to have been Catholic. There was a Peter Travers in the townland of Ardbane or Laghy Barr - as Bridget married in 1862 then her father would have been the head of his household in 1857, so this one and only Peter Travers may be your man. There was also a John Travers born to Peter Travers and Mary McGlinchy 1 Nov 1865, registered in Laghy Bridget was born before 1864, so there will be no civil registration of her birth unfortunately - you can check the Catholic registers for Drumhome for other family members though, as they have been filmed by the LDs - the film details are - Catholic Parish Registers Includes baptisms, 1866-1912; marriages, 1866-1947. The Catholic parish of Ballintra is in the civil parish of Drumhome, and is also known as Drumhome. Parish registers LDS film no 1279237 Items 10-11 If you can locate a baptism of any children to Peter in those registers, the entry will give you the names of Godparents, which will give you more clues to the family. Bridget's marriage won't be in them, but you may find the marriage of some of her siblings, as long as they were after 1866. The RC registers for Drumhome did not start until 1866. The 1901 census covering Ardbane is on another LDS film - 1901 Laghy D.E.D. 16/1-31, 32c 1901 D.E.D. 17/1-28, 29c (file 1-2) - LDS film no 824868 Items 1-2 Hope that helps! Merry Christmas!
