Hi All, I have just joined the list. My name is Nancy Reida Pilkinton and I live in New Zealand.My father William Andrew Fletcher was born in Convoy in 1899.His father was William Cunningham Fletcher died 25th February 1927 and is buried at Convoy I believe at a graveyard at the Presbyterian Church.I know there are gravestones at a church there and can only assume it is Presbyterian.Also buried there is his wife Mary Jane Fletcher nee Russell who died 22nd February 1938.Also buried there is his grandfather William died 20th May 1851,his wife Margaret died 8th October 1856,their children Samuel died 9th February 1870,Martha died 3rd April 1874,Robert 26th 1890,grandson Samuel 9th August 1895, gandaughter Rebecca 16th January 1917.It would seem either Samuel or Robert is my grandfather's father but no idea which.It is likely that my grandfather was a farmer. William and Mary had at least 7 children,William (my father),daughters Louie,Reida and Maud,and 3 more sons,Samuel,James and Robert.My father William and his brothers Samuel and James all emigrated to New Zealand in the 1930's.It would seem that Samuel worked in a bank in Convoy before that.Any information about this family would be much appreciated.
