The Travers that I am referring to in Ballintra were definitely Catholics. A bit more is coming back to now that I think about it. The father of the two girls that I remember from the late 1940's and 1950's was Mickey Travers, who lead the procession through the town when my Uncle Fr Michael McGrane returned to Ballintra after his Ordination as a priest in 1945.
