    3. Hi Ellen! The 1857 Griffiths Valuation names the heads of the households in each townland in Donegal - if your Annie's father wasn't married or the head of his household then, he won't be in it. One good thing though - there was a Denis Timmony and Bryan Timmony as heads of their households in the townland of Mullanasole, Drumhome parish in 1857. The other Timony households were Edward, Francis and James in Rossilly and Edward in Oughtnadrin. Anne Timony was born 29 Jun 1872 to William Timony and Catherine McCay - thats the civil registration info for her birth. If you get her birth certificate or a copy of her birth registration from the Registrar in letterkenny, it will tell you exactly where she was born..............also, marriages were registered for Catholics from 1864, so you may even find her parents marriage. That will tell you their townlands and father's names. Once you have those, you have a solid place to continue your research. I have info on various ways to order the certs/copies online at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/howto.htm Hope that helps! Based on information I found on my grandmother's birth record, I believe her mother, ANNIE ELLEN TIMONEY b 1875, dau of William and Catherine MCKAY(or MCCOY) TIMONEY is from this townland.? I've located a?William TIMONY?in the 1857 Griffiths valuation that could be my William.? Unfortunately, there wasn't enough information to confirm..does anyone know where I might find additional online information for Boutlypatrick townland in Kilteevoge parish, Donegal?? > > I know that Annie immigrated to the US in 1900 aboard the Peruvian, various records indicate it sailed from Glasgow and Moville on Sept 6th, then Londonderry on the 7th.? The Ships manifest indicates her last residence was Mullinasole.? She arrived in Boston, MA, USA and travelled to the home of her Uncle? Michael MCCOY in Portland Maine. > > Any and all information is welcomed and appreciated! > > Ellen > >
