Have just broken through another generation in Donegal. The newest surname is MENOE, MEYNOE or variations [like MINOE and MANOE]. Its rare in the List Archives. Does someone have this surname in their Tree ? There is no Message Board or Mailing List for any of these spellings. Lindel found a few Drumhome marriages, one was just what I was looking for : James CRAWFORD married Margaret MENOE 28 Apr 1807 [my newest find] Richard PATCHELL married Anne MENOE 23 Oct 1812 John THOMPSON married Mary MENOE 19 Dec 1805 The IGI has this as a Patron Submission for a birth : James Crawford B1789 at DRUMARK, Donegal I have the 1901 census on film, it shows neighboring MENOE families at Drumoske, one headed by Edward MENOE age 86, a Widower and the other headed by Mary MENOE age 54, a Widow. Edward had a niece [Margaret, 30] and grandniece [Jane, 2] named DELAP living with him, Mary had MENOEs, a daughter [Lizzie, 28] and son [Eddie, 26] both unmarried living with her.
