Ray It is not surname specific, but rather is a family history society that is being formed in the Derry City area and they chose Foyle as a location designation. Hello Eva. As a NON-local, I am unclear as to whether this society is for people with the family surname of FOYLE (as in that great London bookstore); or whether the name of the society is intended to show that it is connected with the geographical area of Lough Foyle. Please forgive my ignorance. Hello Eva. Thank you for this clarification. (Tried to thank you off-list, but it was rejected by your comcast server -- we have had some recent discussion on this issue on Fermanagh-Gold). Apologies to the list for therefore imposing my thanks on here. ray ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eva Doherty Gremmert" <[email protected]> Ray > It is not surname specific, but rather is a family history society that is > being formed in the Derry City area and they chose Foyle as a location > designation. > Eva
Hi Ray, I am glad I am not the only person in the entire world who cannot email Eva or indeed lots of others on comcast. I did some seminars/lectures for her when she organised the O'Doherty reunuion in Donegal this summer and have never been able to contact her at comcast! So, please tell us what the problem is as per the discussions on the Fermanagh list.
