James was the son of William who is mentioned as a landowner in Drumstevlin in the 1857 Griffith's Valuation. James emigrated to Canada and his son, James, to the US where my grandfather Garnert Day Spence was born. I'm hoping to find out more about William Spence (and his ancestors) from Killymard if I can.
