Hello Janice Friel,      Thank you for your input, well taken, but I believe just about everyone is aware that there are mistakes made in census records.      A child in the family, could be giving the census taker incorrect info because that is what he/she thinks is true.  On the other hand, it could be an old feeble minded person in the family who doesn't remember things very well.  Of course, you also have neighbors giving your family info, too, because you are not home.  Last but not least, you have the census taker, on a hot day -- how much did he indulge in the fine spirits because of a great thirst that day??
