Dear List, Does anyone know the location of "Termain (or Termon) House" , possibly in Clonmany Parish? It was the home of Owen Doherty and his son, William. Owen was born circa 1772 in Clonmany Parish and was son of Neal Sean Doherty who was born circa 1740 in Roxtown, Kinnea, Clonmany Parish. Neal Sean was a son of my ancestor, Michael Dougherty and his wife, Eleanor Leaning of Clonmany Parish. Michael's brother Edward built the Glen House. I'd also like to know the location of "Ceann Ae House" in Roxtown, Kinnea, Clonmany if it still exists or location is known,. I am hoping to find living male descendents of this line who would be interested in doing DNA testing to confirm or disprove my family's tradition of kinship with the O' Dochartaigh chief's line. Or perhaps some of these lines have already been tested.... Other possible DNA candidates are any living male descendants of Denis Doherty (son of Neal Sean above). Denis was born circa 1770 in Clonmany Parish and died in Kellogs, Donegal. He was "landlord of Terhoran." Also, any living descendants of his brother, Michale Mor Doherty b. circa 1775 who had sons, James Walker Doherty and Micheal Og Doherty. Michael Og had a son, Edward Doherty who had a son, another James Walker Doherty who was born 15 July 1873 Conmany Parish and died 1 Feb 1925 Straid, Clonmany Parish. Any information or leads would be much appreciated. Thanks!
