Hi, I am looking for information that anyone has regarding two individuals (or their families) who were married (civil) in Killybegs on November 2, 1880. 1. James John McMonagle (McMonigal) born ~ December of 1859. 2. Winifred (Winnie) McGinnis born ~ May of 1853. The Civil marriage record states that James was a Farmer from Coolnagoppig (which I am interpreting to be Culnagoppoge in Fintragh). His father is listed as John McMonagle, a farmer. The record also states that Winifred was also from Coolnagoppig. Her father is listed as Owen McGinnis, a farmer. The witnesses were Charles McGinness and Grace McGinnis. James and Winifred McMonigal then immigrated to Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA within the next 1-2 years. There were/are a number of McMonigal's in the Saint Paul area who all are from the same general area in Donegal, who identify themselves as being from "Killybegs" or "Kilcar".
