Does anyone know if there was a minimum age that a person must have attained in order to hold land and be listed in Griffith's Valuation? The problem I am observing is that several of my family members are listed in GV (Parish of Donegal/ Tawnawully), but they would have been too young in 1857 to hold land (I think). Or could there be a problem with the dates of the GV records? Could they be from a year other than 1857, let's say, 1868, when the persons in question would have been of "full age"? Has anyone else encountered this issue? Hugh P. Callahan
