    2. I am researching Farrens in the townland of Ballygorman in the Parish of Clonca and keep finding people I think are from Ballygorman using the address of SLIEVEBANN. I cannot find this as a townland at Lindel's website or anywhere else. Nor is it in Google maps and I do not have the right Discoverer map. Anyone heard of this place? 3. Hi Boyd, It's way up there indeed, but I think it's technically Ardmalin: http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=55.36882,-7.333546&spn=0.031803,0.090895&z=14 Also on the OSI maps, if you select one of the historic maps: http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,641985,958180,6,9 Michael On 10 March 2011 18:04, <boydgray26@utvinternet.com> wrote: > I am researching Farrens in the townland of Ballygorman in the Parish of > Clonca and keep finding people I think are from Ballygorman using the > address of SLIEVEBANN. > > I cannot find this as a townland at Lindel's website or anywhere else.  Nor > is it in Google maps and I do not have the right Discoverer map. > > Anyone heard of this place? > > Boyd Gray > > http://familytrees.genopro.com/boydgray26/Boyd/default.htm > > http://www.westulstergenealogy.com/ > > http://preview.tinyurl.com/yk7gckr > > > > >  When replying to a digest post, quote only the specific text to which you are replying, removing the rest of the digest from your reply. 3. Boyd, Look again at Lindel's site, but look for Slieve Ban. (Sliabh Bán, meaning white mountain). It is probably Slievebawn on the Google map. "At Portmore, near Slieve Ban, a pier and harbour are being constructed, at the expense of Capt. Hart, to whom the property of Malin Head belongs."
