    2. John: as you are on comcast I am unable to reply to you privately, so I beg the indulgence of the list for this off-topic reply to your posting. I feel so sad for you, in reading that you have lost your home through mortgage foreclosure due to your unemployment for such a long time. If such a thing were to happen to me, I know that I should feel totally devastated, and would have no incentive to make a fresh start. You are doing very well in that situation to be taking up your genealogical researches again. I hope that in doing so, not only might you find more of your families, but that it might also be therapeutic for you (I suffer from depression, so I appreciate the value of therapeutic pursuits); and hopefully along the way you might also find new friends worldwide. Of course nothing that I say could make any inroads into the losses that you have suffered -- not only financial, but also emotional; but I do hope that just knowing that someone else is moved by your plight and feels solidarity with you, might help a little. The very best wishes to you, and may 2011 be the start of things looking up for you.
