I took out a subscription about a month back and have found it informative. At present they are presenting a three part article " A Date Guide to English Genealogy" which has many suggestions and links on how to get at very old Brit records. No doubt many Irish can be linked back to those English who lived or integrated into the Irish country and society during the 1600 - 1700 - 1800 time frame. Sounds like in French, they use "beautiful" in front of the relative name to mean "-in-law", e.g. "belle-mère" is "mother-in-law", "beau-frère" is "brother-in-law".
